When a dog I've taken in and loved -- and you have to fall in love with a dog in order to be able to do a good job rehabilitating it - turns its back on me and gallops off into a forever home with the family it's been waiting for its entire life, when they realize there's something out there besides us, and they want it more than anything, that's the best moment for me.
